Hazardous Materials "No Carry" Course - Presented by: FlightSafety International

Through an easy-to-use self-paced system, students learn the fundamentals of recognizing Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT).

Have you, as a “no carry” operator, ever been asked to transport the likes of SCUBA gear, dry ice, or live ammunition? This course offers dangerous goods recognition training for “will-not-carry” operators (Certificate holding operators restricted from carrying or handling hazardous materials). It has been designed to help personnel understand the philosophy and purpose surrounding the need for HAZMAT regulations, provisions for crew and passengers, HAZMAT labeling, classifications and documentation, hidden HAZMAT and how to respond to an actual HAZMAT incident.

This course is designed to meet the requirements of the CARS, FAR and JAR OPS.

Universal UNS-1 FMS Course - Presented by: FlightSafety International

The self-paced Universal UNS-1 FMS Fundamentals course is designed to improve the FMS learning experience prior to attending an initial training program. This course uses a hands-on approach to understanding and programming the UNS-1 Series Universal Flight Management System that allows for introductory programming interaction.

There are three phases to each module, namely “Learn”, “Practice” and “Demonstrate”. “Learn” allows the student to go through the specific task for the first time, and gain an understanding of its use. “Practice” allows the student to perform the tasks on their own, at which time the system will offer feedback as to whether or not the steps are being followed correctly. “Demonstrate mode” presents the student with the same task that would be completed successfully before proceeding.
