Requirements for Operators

The CBAA Private Operator Certificate (POC) program requires operators to establish a performance-based safety management system in their organization.

Operators will be able to develop customized procedures suitable for their individual operation.

With the safety management system in place, operators will need to contact a CBAA -accredited auditor to arrange for an audit of the system. This will ensure compliance with the standards. The list of CBAA auditors is published on the website.

Once a successful audit is achieved, operators will need to submit their report to the CBAA, along with supporting documentation. CBAA will then issue a Private Operator Certificate.
